The Story
A durable, heavy-duty spun iron baking tin in a round shape, makes it a versatile piece that can handle a wide array of tasks.
---DETAILS--- Due to Netherton Foundryâs unique manufacturing process, this durable spun baking tin is relatively lightweight, but also, like traditional cast iron cookware, it retains heat exceptionally well. This means faster cooking times, consistently even cooking, and browned crusts. It can also safely go on the hob, including induction, and is designed for cakes, tarts, pies, and more. Pre-seasoned with flax oil for a natural easy-release finish â this makes it easier to get cakes out once theyâre done. Pre-seasoned with flax oil for a natural easy-release finish that only gets better over time when properly maintained.Â
Note: This tin should be seasoned before use, to repel rust and fortify the layer of seasoning. This layer should be regularly maintained. Read our instructions on how to season and maintain a spun iron pan, and why it's worth it, in our guide.
---BENEFITS--- âThe thick iron construction holds heat really well, so I get a consistent rise and good caramelisation on whatever Iâm baking. The first thing I made was a chocolate orange sponge cake, and it came out perfect. I felt like I could taste the flavours more.â âNiamh
