The Story
A magnificent reissue of the original Peugeot pepper mill created in 1874, this collectorâs edition pepper mill is clad entirely in silver. ---DETAILS--- The French company Peugeot may be most commonly associated with cars, but they actually made spice mills first, far back in 1874. In the 146 years since, no other salt and pepper mills stay as sharp, resist corrosion as well, and last as long, which is why nobody in the culinary industry would hesitate to call them âiconicâ. Peugeot pepper mills are made from hardened steel, so they can withstand the stress of grinding tough peppercorns without shedding some of its own metal along with it. They have helix-shaped mechanisms that make peppercorns wait their turn before being cracked in half and further ground to your preference. The Mignonnette Silver Pepper Mill, ideal for collectors, is plated entirely in silver and designed to look like Peugeotâs very first pepper mill. A matching salt mill is available for purchase separately. ---BENEFITS--- âAny fine dining restaurant worth its salt (excuse the pun) has a Peugeot mill. Expertly crafted inside and out, these grinders seem to âwake upâ pepper and salt just before it reaches your plate.â
